Banksy's 'Caution Fun!' piece has still not been found.
We have heard a credible suggestion from MELROSEandFAIRFAX reader Jake whose keen eye spotted some green street signs in the pic released from Banksy's website, similar to the ones in Culver City. Jake also recognized the location of Banksy's elephant from the picture, so this might be it!
Hit us up as soon as people find something!
Happy Hunting!
Call me crazy, but this looks more like the valley to me. Like perhaps on Magnolia or Burbank Boulevards.
ReplyDeleteplease please please stop with all of the banksy posts. we get it.. banksy rules.. but please... you are shoving it down our throats. i liked it when you would show love to him but this is just over kill. thanks..
ReplyDelete^?^?^
ReplyDeleteI think the banksy scavenger hunt 2011 posts are top shelf
^^When arguably the biggest street artist in the world comes to LA I would hope a "street art blog" would be the first to highlight every single one of his moves. Keep it up MELROSEandFAIRFAX!

^^Agreed - please keep the Banksy posts coming. Haters gonna hate.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big Banksy week, what are you gonna do?
ReplyDeleteM+F: KEEP IT COMING!
MELROSEandFAIRFAX keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I'm loving the Banksy posts and running out to see the pieces. Thanks M+F for these great posts!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't think this is in CC. I think it's in a Hispanic neighborhood and CC is definitely not. Look at the ad, it's in Spanish. Also, given the context of the piece, it would lead me to think it's in a Hispanic neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think that's Burbank. I live here, and the sidewalks don't look nice enough for the East - West streets. Could be Panorama City or Sun Valley though... I love the hunt!
ReplyDeleteChecked both up and down burbank blvd and magnolia in burbank and Venice and Washington in culver city and found nothing. Keep the ideas coming and I'll check them out asap.

Looks like the Noho Arts district but I can't find it.
ReplyDeleteI don't see any green street signs in that photo. The one thing that I can see that might be a street sign looks blue to me, which would still keep Long Beach a possibility.
ReplyDeleteFound the Crossing Dream one in Downtown Los Angeles on Washington Blvd and Flower St
ReplyDeleteI live in Culver City, and I don't know of any streets like this. It looks more like a street in Echo Park to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to find out where it actually is! :)
Someone seems to have have found a different instance of the same stencil http://instagr.am/p/ByK1j/
ReplyDeleteI would check Boyle Heights, it's close to the forclosure piece.
ReplyDeleteI found that same one as the dude on instagram, It's different than banksy's piece on his website, but same design
