Banksy's Crayon House Foreclosure -Close Up and Panoramic
Here are some truly amazing pictures of Banksy's Crayon House Foreclosure. Not only do they capture the feel of the area where this Banksy resides, but there are also some beautiful close up shots detailing the true art of Banksy's work. Click the jump for more
The panoramic shot above captures the neighborhood, and the sign from Morley that says, "Sorry. I just got here, what did I miss?'
And these close up shots are absolutely exquisite. Love the detail of the crayon mess on the hand.
Big thanks to Rob Wade for sending in these pics, and check out his Flickr for many more cool shots.

^^ 1549 E. Washington Blvd.
ReplyDeleteThis is in Compton, yes? Whenever I type in 1549 E. Washington Blvd. on googlemaps it automatically switches it to 1549 S. Washington Ave. and puts me in the middle of a residential area.
ReplyDeleteI tried looking for it in Compton yesterday! The 1549 E Washington Blvd address doesn't exist! I went by the intersection of Washington and Compton, it wasn't there either! Help!
ReplyDeleteWhoever said 1549 E Washington Blvd doesn't exist, didn't look very hard. When you type it in on google maps it will try to auto-fill it to something else, but type it in it works and is right. You can see the wall on street view if you navigate around the corner.

I was just there.
ReplyDeleteit's across from Restaurant Depot (1611 East Washington Blvd)
The owner of the building is trying to get a museum to come and preserve it.
When a lender fails to find a homeowner to notify them of a foreclosure lawsuit, a judge often appoints a guardian ad litem. That attorney is supposed to represent the property owner's interests. These will of great help to those whose properties are foreclosed.
