Banksy Responds to Oscars

Banksy finally responds to the Oscars.

Banksy finally issued his response to the Oscars, only the new piece is not in LA, it is in Weston, UK.

The SWNS broke the story that this new stencil has gone up so recently that the paint is still wet. It has not yet been verified on Banksy's website, but we think this does look like a Banksy.

This new piece features a little girl, who is assumed to be 15-month old Lara Egan, who dropped and damaged her fathers Oscar statue..

It seems that Banksy might have been a little bit put off by not winning the Oscar, and we were disappointed that he didn't issue a rebuttal in LA. This new piece seems to say 'I'm going to take my ball and go home', and at the same time poke fun at the very idea of the award.

Banksy has reportedly said, "The last time there was a naked man covered in gold paint in my house, it was me."

  3. Love this and happy that it isn't in LA. It probably would be tagged over and/or getting removed.

  5. i very much doubt that banksy would be put off about not taking home the oscar. aaaaaand i’m just gonna guess that he’s seen 'inside job' and is glad to see that it has gotten the exposure of the oscars. the people behind the scenes, that in all reality are running this country, are complete fucking crooks that get away with murder on a minute by minute basis. i wish there where more documentaries exposing this kind of thing and i wish more ‘street artists’ would use there time and talent to make noise about the bullshit we consciously choose to ignore.... like banksy does so well.

  6. I have doubts that it's a real Banksy... it's a modified version of the "No Future" stencil that he's done before (http://www.artofthestate.co.uk/photos/banksy_no_future_1.jpg), just an oscar instead of a balloon. Is it like Banksy to re-hash previous stencils? Brings to mind the "Fakesy" in Oceanside - it was just a re-hashing of previously-used themes, and Banksy is a lot more creative than that... (at least, in my opinion he is!)

Banksy is not creative enough anymore to be conscious enough to express the fucking crooks agendas. btw...Banksy had me type this.

  8. I don't think it is his. It looks kind of.. sloppy. The hands don't have any detail and the blue and the pink mix in some places. Even if it was a rehashing (which doesn't seem common, as of recent), the hands would be just as detailed as the first. Plus it's not on the web yet.

I'm no expert, but I say Fakesy.
