Bleepbloop - Laying Low

This cardboard piece from Bleepbloop was hanging from a pole next to this spot on Melrose.

Somehow, the piece got knocked to the ground, where it is laying low on the sidewalk.

No one had claimed the piece yet.  Perhaps, not because of the art, but because this location is right in front of Sportie LA, one of the hippest spots for trendsetters to grab the hottest sneakers. And the old man loafers that were used to hang the art probably don't appeal much to the sneaker crowd.

Sure that this piece from Bleepbloop eventually found a home.  And if the shoe fits . . .

Can't Stop Los Angeles Sneakerheads

Can't stop sneakerheads in Los Angeles for exhibiting their love of sneakers.  Indeed.

However, even sneakerheads should be stopped from capping other artists.  There are plenty of stop signs without capping a previously riding tag.  That's not cool.  Its like some fool stepping on the toes of a new pair of kicks~

Stay fresh with those sneakers, and stay up without capping!

Alec Monopoly Custom Shoes

Alec Monopoly customized another pair of his shoes.

Even though M&F enjoys sneakers and knows most athletic shoe models, Alec told us the brand of these $600+ shoes, but we had not heard of them before.

Click the jump for more, and check out Alec's spare pair of Jordan's in the back

Nice Shoes, Dude

A pair of stenciled shoes sits on a sidewalk in Silverlake.

These look like an old pair of high top Chucks, or Converse.  Squaring off with M&F's own rasta snakeskin Air Stab's.

M&F always loves the sneaker scene, especially when it overlaps with street art.  Nice shoes, dude!

Nice Outfit, Bro

This piece appears to be another in the series confronting society's hang ups with gender stereotypes.

This dude is rocking a beard and wearing a skirt.  And are those sneakers JB Classics!?  Dig it~

Also says 'Civilized'.

Dig the topless chic in sneakers!

Nike Air Jordan Bred XI Release in Los Angeles

Today is a big day for Sneakerheads. 12/21/12 is not only the end of the world according to the Mayan Calendar, but it also marks the release of one of the sneaker world's most coveted shoes, the Nike Air Jordan Bred XI's.

These shoes are so hot that you can't just walk in and buy a pair.  Nike only makes limited amounts, and folks who really want a pair, like these fanatics in front of Sportie LA on Melrose, camp out overnight to hope for the chance to purchase a pair.

The folks at M&F, being sneakerheads ourselves, we would have loved a pair.  However, no shoe is worth camping out on the street for.  Congrats to those who did and got a pair!
