What Did I Miss?
Banksy is inspiring a whole new line of dialogue with the street artists of LA.
Even though it was just announced to the world yesterday, Banksy's Crayon House Foreclosure has already had some interaction, and this is some cool stuff.
LA's own street artist Morley visited Banksy's Crayon House and put up a paste saying 'Sorry, I just got here. What did I miss?'. It captures what you hear people saying when they visit these pieces.
And we like the way this is done. It is placed near the piece, so the dialogue is clear. But it is done in a way that respects the piece itself, and leaves Banksy's piece undisturbed.
We dig it~
Big thanks to Ry for sending in this picture.

It seems like it's also saying, I'm new to this, respectfully. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteLove it. It's a poignant piece on its own, but knowing that it's near a Banksy makes it that much more meaningful. Nicely done, Morley, nicely done.
