Hooked Up - Free Humanity (Part 3/3) Canvases
To complete the massive hook-up, Free Humanity took it to the next level after all those prints-he even hooked us up with our first 'hook-up' canvases. And there's a cool story behind these. Click the jump fore more
Free Humanity hooked us up with these canvases as an awesome gift. It was very generous, and very cool, and we really appreciate it.
But Free was showing us some love back because MELROSEandFAIRFAX was actually the first ones to ever buy a piece of art from Free Humanity. Way back when he was just getting started in the game (and killing rooftops with those tremendous 20-foot pieces), we bought a big hand painted Yoda for what at the time seems like a crazy price at the time, and on the current market it would be a steal of a deal. And it was a first and only for us too, as that piece was actually the only piece of street art we have ever paid for. And now Free has sold many pieces of art for prices that are way out of our price range, including a strong gallery show last year in London. And this week he is currently getting set for his first US show this weekend. So it was very kind of Free to show us some love back for supporting his art both in person and on the blog.
These canvases we got hooked up with feature Free's Yoda themed 'Wars Not Make One Great' and 'Birds' pieces.
If you like what you see you can attend his art show (bring a pair of socks!) or check out his website .
Thanks for the canvases, Free!
