"Banksy Is A Cool Guy"

Banksy's 'Elephant' resurfaces again . . .

Banksy's 'This Looks A Bit Like An Elephant' piece has caused an uproar ever since it went up because once he wrote the words on a homeless man's domicile, the worthless chunk of industrial waste suddenly became worth money. So it was removed to sell, and a homeless man lost his 'home'.

M&F has been following the developments of this piece, and a fascinating new angle just popped up, and Banksy has reportedly agreed to help collaborate on imaging and marketing for a film on Tachowa Covington, the homeless man who had been living in the 'elephant'.

The Dallas Observer is reporting that filmaker Hal Samples had been working on a film about Tachowa since 08, and the Banksy 'Elephant' angle had inspired him to now finish the movie. And to do so, Hal is trying to raise $30,000 through Kickstarter to finance the film. Once finished, it is reported that Banksy is going to be involved to help with 'imaging, marketing, and commenting' for the film.

And in the short clips released from the film, Tachowa says that Banksy "is a cool guy" and brags about being one of the last people to meet the elusive artist. Tachowa goes on to describe Banksy as a "regular guy".

We think its great that Tachowa's issue is still getting some press and very cool that Banksy is helping out. Sounds like 'a cool guy'.
