A judge just ruled against Mr. Brainwash in a lawsuit from photographer Glen E. Friedman claiming that MBW used his iconic photo of Run DMC without permission. Mr. Brainwash had argued that the photo had been altered sufficiently and could be used under the 'fair use act'. But the judge disagreed, and, MBW's haters will be excited to hear that the judge "ruled that Guetta can't defend his work as transformative fair use."
The Hollywood Reporter has a great write up of the case and points out that this verdict could have far reaching effects into the use and reuse of copyrighted material and could impact things as distant as remixing music.
The case now moves on to determine how much Friedman is owed in damages.
Fuck MBW. If you're going to claim you're an "Artist", Don't steel other artists photos. MBW is LAME. This is a perfect example of Karma
