Free Mondays At MOCA - Thanks Banksy!

MELROSEandFAIRFAX headed back to MOCA today, and it seemed like so did half of Los Angeles. A HUGE crowd turned out for MOCA, and even in the middle of the afternoon, the line stretched 4 people thick and 500 feet long.

Banksy is sponsoring free admission to the museum on Mondays. It is a very cool thing to do, and its clear from the massive turnout that a show like 'Art In The Streets is truly an event.

More pics from the exhibit still to come, including fresh work from Banksy himself.

Thanks Banksy~

  2. banksy isnt actually paying for each person to enter, moca has run free weekdays since it first started . its just a way to build hype around the exhibition.

  3. Actually, he's probably donating a portion of the sale of his art at this exhibit to underwrite the cost of "free" admission. So he's not paying for each individual but he is paying for the estimated earnings of those days had people paid (which would have drawn far fewer people)
