Lush vs. Banksy
We had heard that Lush had paid a visit to Banksy's Crayon House Foreclosure piece in Compton, but we hadn't seen pics.
It looks like Lush put up a tag next to the piece. Not sure if it was done by Lush or the building owner, but in the same way that Banksy's piece is covered up with plexiglass, Lush's tag also got protected.
Lush is a huge name, and we have previously compared him to Banksy in that the art from these two artists actually communicates off the wall with the viewer. It requires an interaction and interpretation and is more than just aesthetically pleasing. Although we can see why someone might want a piece of Lush, this is the first straight tag that we have ever seen protected by plexiglass. Dig it~
With Banksy and Lush on it, wonder how much this wall is worth now?
***Big thanks to Frank for sending in the pics***
