BanksyNY - Haters Gonna Hate

No matter what, it seems that some haters are going to hate on BanksyNY.

Banksy's pieces keep getting damaged, and then repaired.  But these latest hits seem to take the hate to another level.

Both Banksy's New York Accent piece, and his Twin Towers have both been re-vandalized.  The glass over the Twin Towers was violently damaged, with the plexiglass over the top of it being damaged.  But both seem to put New Yorkers in a place of hurting their own image by damaging Banksy.

The dude who stole the original flower from Banksy's Twin Towers piece threatened to destroy it. Not sure if this was him or someone else?

BanksyNY - Sometimes, Makeshift is Enough

The battle rages on between the Banksy lovers and the Banksy haters in New York.

The other day, this Banksy piece was covered by some makeshift plexiglass.  The plexiglass was only taped over the wall.  Well, it appears that that was enough to preserve this Banksy from any real damage.

Even though the entire thing is painted blue, the paint is on top of the plexiglass, and Banksy's piece still remains intact underneath.

M&F is often torn between letting pieces play out a natural street life, or protecting them.  But in these types of Banksy scenarious when so many haters are aiming at Banksy just for somewhere for their hate to aim, it seems like a good move in these circumstances to take minor steps to protect the pieces.  After all, sometimes makeshift is enough.

Now where's the Banksy Restoration Society to fix this up?

When Vandalism Gets Vandalized - Snyder Toys with OmarNY

Omar NY has turned himself into the instant anti-hero for his defacement of Banksy's beautiful Band Aid Balloon.  In doing so, Omar has subjected himself to numerous humorous online jabs at his nut hugger fame.  And now, Snyder just created his own version of Omar's unhappy balloon.  Dig how the image makes Omar an online icon for a toy and captures the hater spirit perfectly!

If You're Gonna Hate, Leave A Name

The Jaber teams up with a member from K4P on this mural in downtown Los Angeles, but half of it and the letters of the other writer have got crossed out by gray paint without leaving a name.

Eh.  Beef is beef, but if you're gonna hate, stand behind your work and leave a name.  The biggest writers are writing their names--and leaving them behind.  The haters just paint in gray like the buffman without leaving a name.

Hater Buff

Bankrupt Slut gets a classic sticker buffed after it had been riding for 3+ years in Hollywood.  Because the city usually scrapes stickers from the backs of street signs like this, and because the paint is a washy runny version of thick buff paint, it seems that this is a 'hater buff' and not by the city.  A hater buff, and a poor one at that.

Even though there are plenty of haters chugging on haterade, you can't keep a good slut down, and Bankrupt Slut gets up all over Los Angeles.

Actually, if a slut doesn't 'get up', the slut is not doing her job properly. (bada-ching!)
