Trustocorp Takes On Banksy -- ***UPDATE***
New York based street art collective Trustocorp has just put out a Banksy sign. It says 'Laugh now but one day I'll be so rich that I can do graffiti wherever I want'.
Trustocorp is known for their signs, and this is a good one.
***UPDATE-Its a hot time for street artists in New York, and hard to get up without getting noticed. The picture snapped below of the person hanging signs is Trustocorp in action, but it is not Banksy. Careful NY street artists--everyone and their mom has a camera!***

SignofBanksy Making the Rounds
Apparently, the folks at #signofbanksy really do have Banksy's graffiti is a crime sign.
The cool thing is that the sign keeps getting taken around to different places in the city, including a return visit to a different Banksy piece.
Truly, better out than in~

BANKSYNYs 'Sign' Visiting Other Banksy Pieces
A photo just got posted showing the 'Graffiti is a Crime' sign that was taken from Banksy's Graffiti Hooligan's piece in New York City. This new photo was posted showing the 'Graffiti is a Crime' sign on the sidewalk in front of a separate Banksy piece, the dog and hydrant themed 'You Complete Me'.
The pic was posted by SignofBanksy on Instagram. Not sure if this is legit? or photoshopped? That shadow coming off the arm looks a lil fake.
If this is true, it wasn't this guy who stole the sign after all. Wonder if this sign will visit any more Banksy pieces?

Who Could Get Mad at THIS GUY for Stealing Banksy?!
Haha. This character Eugene Hu is claiming to have stolen the sign from Banksy's Graffiti Hooligan's piece. Who could get mad at this guy for wanting to get rich(er)?
As far as we know, Eugene Hu has not released any actual pics of the sign itself, but he has received a confirmed offer for $500 cash.

Anyone Lend a Hand? - Banksy's Sign Gets Taken Already
Everybody knew Banksy's newest piece was going to be short lived, but no one knew exactly how that ending was going to come about.
Well, Banksy's Graffiti Hoodlums piece lasted less than one day. The sign has already been taken down, along with it the reaching hand from the top hoodlum.
The piece has also been tagged next to it with something that says 'Cmon'. Exactly.

Chod - Street Art Sign For Sale on Ebay
Chod's tagline is 'None Of This Is Real'. But one of Chod's sign's taken from the street is really for sale on ebay for a hefty price tag.
One of Chod's signs is currently for sale by Ebay seller Printed Art Gallery for $2,499.99. Or better offer~
With his work itself, Chod enjoys playing around with the arbitrary value that humans assign to money, and no doubt this episode is entertaining, and furthers that very theme. The ebay asking price price might seem crazy, and really it is for something taken off the streets. On the other hand, $2500 is not an expensive price for a gallery piece. And in that light, shouldn't an authentic 'street' street art piece be worth more than a canvas gallery piece?
The history on this piece is that about a month and a half ago Chod got up all over Melrose with official looking sings. You can check out M&F's original post covering Chod's signage HERE.
From what we heard, Chod's signs were taken down within a couple of days, and we got word that one person harvested most, if not all of the dozen+ that were placed on the street. The signs were not heard from again . . . until now.
M&F has always maintained that street art collecting for the right purposes can be okay and a temporary piece can be given a new longer life by a collector, but there is something wrong about taking every single piece of street art down off the streets, and then trying to hawk those free pieces for thousands of dollars. It doesn't feel right. Its like robbing the community for personal gain. Also notice that the last photo listed on the Ebay auction listing appears to be the exact same photo stolen from M&F's original story. Stealing art, and photos? Hmmm. . . .
Interesting scenario. What do folks think? Is it, as the ad next to the Ebay sale says, 'A Very Big Deal?'

Its Official - None of This is Real
Chod slams Melrose with some fresh new official looking street signs.
The are some of the most authentic looking street art signs that have gone up on LA's streets. Notice in the close up shots how these are printed on reflective material. And Chod also used screws without a head, like the ones the city uses on signs, in order to grant these signs a longer running life span.
Its on an official looking sign now, so it is fully official: None of this is Real~

Teach Art, Motherfuckers!
Teacher claims a giant new rooftop in the Valley to reassert his status atop LA's street art scene.
This one features giant 4 foot letters that say 'Teach Art'.
Teacher's piece works perfectly with the old sign it was placed on, so much so that it kind of looks like the old sign itself. Because it blends so well, this piece will likely ride for awhile.
Dig it. Keep teaching art!

Beverly Hills Street Art - Need Money for Botox!
Bwhahaaha!
Another piece of street art that is so LA. This one is aimed at Beverly Hills, and situated right in front of the iconic sign.
The art is from BD and it features a full color image of a young girl holding a sign like a homeless person, except that he sign says 'Need $$ 4 Botox'.
Haha, this is funny on many levels. Dig it.

The One with the Most Signs is the Winner!
An election-like sign stuck up to make fun of the idea of sign placing, and pointing out that Los Angeles is the 2nd largest city in the nation, yet it only has a 16% voter turnout.
If you wonder why there are so many problems in LA, think about the 16% of people you know who are voting, and it is no wonder when society is allowing ourselves to be governed by the types who would be homeroom monitors.
