The Street Art in LA Is So Sexy, It Gives the Palm Trees Boners
The street art is so sexy in Los Angeles, that it even gives boners to the palm trees.
Like here. Dig this beautiful mural from Sonata on the backside of the Branded Arts Complex in Culver City. The detail and rendering is quite impressive. Framed by two long straight palm trees like boners.
Stay up!

Venice Chalk - Beginning With the Backside
Just like when a hottie walks by and you look to check out her ass, this feature is beginning with the backside.
The Chalk building on Venice Blvd is loaded with awesome artwork. Its like a colorful splotch of haven in what is mostly otherwise drab building fronts in West LA.
Loaded with old school graffiti letters from Trixter, a crazy giraffe from Level, an enlightened production from the TWK Crew, a pretty girl who looks like she is getting burka'd by the fence and more.

Another Banksy Gets Harvested from the Streets for Sale
Against all odds, Banksy's Garden Girl is going up for sale . . .
The Huffington Post is reporting that Banksy's Garden Girl plans to go for sale at auction, and that this will be the first Banksy . The auction house expects this piece to sell for at least $150,000.
. . . maybe.
To put this piece into context, M&F was the first to report when Banksy's Garden Girl got uncovered from a layer of plywood, and then, 6 months later when the piece got covered by plexiglass. At the time M&F titled one of the post's 'Banksy's Garden Girl Isn't Going Anywhere'. In that feature, we pointed out how this piece is 10+ feet tall. It was painted on a wall with cracked chipping paint that will undoubtedly crack and crumble if disturbed. Furthermore, the wall itself is cracked with a lip of more than a half inch jutting out from the rest of the piece. We thought at the time that this piece would never be moved because no matter what method of extraction is employed, the painting with certainly be damaged.
This Garden Girl stencil riding on La Brea is one of the last remaining Banksy's in Los Angeles, and not only would it be sad to lose this piece from the streets, but without a doubt, the for sale piece will be compromised.
Will this sell? Guess we will wait and see. Someone can buy a piece of this Banksy wall, but how much is a broken piece worth?

Get Up, Stay Up! (Dig This Street Art~)
A very cool piece of street art spotted on Sunset Blvd.
This one piece appears to be composed of many separate layers of paper, some of which were overlapped and others torn, giving it great texture.
Most of the poster is done in gradient black and white, except for the red jacket that the girl is wearing and her eyeballs, which are eerily realistic.
This piece is greatly aged, it seems that some of it was done in advance and some has occurred on the streets.
Finally, the entire piece is placed in an engaging spot on the street where it interacts well with the environment and surroundings.
Dig it. Not sure who this piece is from? But look forward to more work like this on the streets.
Stay up!
***UPDATE: This piece is from Ben Slow. Big thanks to Bill for the detective work!***

Bloodied and Buffed
The life span of art on the streets guaranteed to be temporary, but when fate deals that hand is always uncertain.
Well, this piece from Common Cents was literally documented, and given a cyber life by M&F contributor Phil, 30 seconds before a buff dude came along and buffed it out forever.
Bloodied and buffed, and M&F encourages citizens to 'Boo!' whenever an active buff is going on.
BOO!
