Assembled in Mexico

West Hollywood fiercely patrols all 2.1 square miles of its entire area, keeping it virtually buffed clean.

So we were surprised to see what looked to be tiny stickers all up and down Santa Monica Blvd, apparently stuck up on the cross walk boxes.

However, it is not a sticker at all, but it seems to be a stamp from the production factory, painted in white that reads 'Assembled in Mexico'.

This is interesting because the stamp leaves a mark on an otherwise jet black background. If the city buff squad now gets used to the tiny marks on these boxes, will that lead to tolerating more stickers?
