A Youtube video just surfaced capturing the action of Banksy's Charlie Brown piece being cut out of the wall.
It really seems like this is a professional job, and it feels more and more like this was placed to be taken.

ReplyDeleteI was there before they removed the Charlie Brown. The guys that removed him don't care to cover their faces or their plates because they were ordered to remove the Banksy. They are with property management and their boss, who owns the building and a lot of buildings around the area, told them to remove the piece when he found out how much it was worth. Initially, they were ordered to paint over it.
this is getting far too much press. It's probably the most innocent banksy that has ever got any attention. I was there today and yes it is an amazing piece but I can't believe the level that it has gone to. Remember 11am when it was just chuck holding gas?
