Katsu at MOCA?

Without a doubt, Curly got Katsu up across the street from MOCA with this sticker.

But Katsu made some waves online last week when a video was released purportedly showing him tagging the outside of MOCA with a fire extinguisher.

Katsu has caused commotion before with digitally altered videos showing him doing things like tagging over a Picasso. Those have been proven to be fake, but the argument is raging online whether or not Katsu really did do it, or whether it was digitally edited to appear this way.

Our personal take on it is that he didn't do it. It would have been impossible. The earlier posted Blade mural by Risk is on this wall, and it would have taken days to put up. The wall was not blank at the time of the video release. So, either it was done weeks earlier and released later, or it was digitally modified.

Still, whether or not Katsu did indeed do it, he's got all the people talking, and that's a victory in iteself.

  1. I can confirm that it was indeed REAL... I was there for the setup of the show and I watched 4 people trying to clean/buff the wall within hours of it getting done..and they also beefed up their security after that...proof is on the floor now there is still some of the black paint
