Mr. Brainwash's Wall Gets Bombed
Mr. Brainwash's studio wall gets bombed.
This doesn't seem to be MOCA related. Instead, it seems to be some sort of nuclear themed political street art.
The shots were taken by B. Land, and here's the story in his own words, I was hanging out waiting around for MBW to show up when out of the blue these guys came up the street with a ladder, a bag of paint, and this huge stencil and just started bombing on the Brainwash wall. The stencil is a nuclear power plant stack with some kind of design sequence on it and the Japanese flag. The artist then wrote Reimage, Rethink Nuclear crossing out Rethink and signed at the bottom ETMCA. Both of the men began throwing paint grenades at the top of the piece. I don't know who these guys are, who ETMCA is or what this was for but it was very interesting to see done.
Crazy stuff. And the wall got even crazier in a little while when the wall got bombed again soon after. (coming soon)
And check out the guys shirt in the top pic. MOCA related?
