Pics from Banksy - War Boutique (pt. 1/2)
Here are some pics from an art art show that opened last week entitled 'Banksy - War Boutique'. The title is a little confusing, and apparently War Boutique is another artist, not the name of Banksy's show.
So it was a 2-person show, and the Banksy pieces for sale were not new pieces, but were from collections and were submitted for the art show. They had some astronomical price tags, like the mosquito stencil pictured below--an edition of 25 and this one is selling for $38,000. Reportedly, they also had a few pieces listed above a quarter of a million dollars.
Crazy stuff, but the prices might have outpaced the market, and not sure how these have sold. But very cool to see what is there.
***Big thanks to OverheardAtRunyon for sending in these pics from London***
