Lush And Banksy - Referencing The Greats

Banksy had a strong presence at 'Lush Sells Out in LA'. So much so that one person asked, 'What does Lush have against Banksy?'.

We don't want to speak for Lush, this is purely our interpretation of it, but when it comes to art, the biggest artists are not only creating impressive pieces of art, but they are also having conversations with other 'big' artists through their art. Its what Basquiat did, and at least to some degree, that seems to be what Lush is doing. Lush references not only Banksy, but also MBW, Keith Haring. The conversation Lush is having with these artists may not be high brow but it is exactly on Lush's level.

Here are some more pieces from Lush referencing Banksy, or 'Wanksy' as Lush might call him.

bod bod is def a bigger artist than lush is.
people need to get over banksy. stop using whatever witty good humor he had for a small period of time in order to think you killed a good artist. its like watching a remake of a bad movie with these so called artists

  7. I love this blog, but I have no idea why you post all this Lush shit. His/her stuff seems so completely derivative, boring, and obvious. Please stop posting crap from that show, none of it has been worth my eyeballs. I like naked chicks too, but I come to this site for interesting street art.

Lush, if you're reading this: referencing Banksy is fine if you have something, anything, interesting to add. You clearly do not, so stop. Do something interesting and well-crafted, we'll take a peep. Kthanksbye.
