Smog City's City

We have long been fans of Smog City. The art and the thick getting up was one of our inspirations for starting the blog. In fact a gorgeous hand painted Smog City piece was the first post that we ever made on this blog.

Dig the imagery, the way that Smog City gets up, and beyond all that, dig how Smog's art is a centered around an image that is not only bad ass, but it has a social message. In Los Angeles, a city which is known for having poor air quality and pollution, Smog's signature image is the haze rising up from the skyline of Los Angeles to form a giant skull. Like we say, bad ass, and at the same time, socially relevant.

This shot exemplifies Smog's lock on Los Angeles. Here are a couple double pasters from Smog, and if you look at the Walk Box in the foreground, you can see another Smog City sticker--one that has been riding for a long time.

Fuck yeah. Stay up~
