Street Art Saved My Life & Street Art Stories-UPDATE!
Brooklyn Street Art has ventured over to the West Coast and they've got two awesome events coming up this weekend.
The first is an art show entitled 'Street Art Saved My Life'. Great title for the show, and it boasts a line up that is super strong. It features mostly New York and international street artists including big names like Anthony Lister, C215, Dan Witz, Futura, Gaia, Known Hope, Sweet Toof, Swoon and many more. Should be a great show. It opens Friday night, August 12, in collaboration with Think Space and at the Cave Gallery in Venice Beach. More information can be found on the flyer.
The second event is a street art discussion panel at MOCA. This has another great title, 'Street Art Stories', and a panel of speakers includes Shepard Fairey, Kimberly Brooks, Marsea Goldbert, Ken Harman, Ethel Seno and will be moderated by Steven P. Harrington and Jaime Rojo who run Brooklyn Street Art. Seating is vey limited, so show up early if you want to get in. 'Street Art Stories is co-sponsored by our friends at Huffington Post. Full details on the flyer.
If these events are a sample of NY, we dig it. Thanks for bringing some 'Brooklyn' to LA, BSA. Stay up~
***UPDATE: We have heard from BSA and due to an incredibly high demand, the show is booked full. So, unfortunately, if you don't have a reservation you are out of luck.***
