Space Invader Arrested in New York City!

This is not rumor. The streets are hot after Banksy's month long artist residency, and, Space Invader got arrested last night in New York City. Seriously.

Today, the NY Lowdown published a story that Space Invader got arrested last night while installing this Snow White mosaic. The police took him into custody, and then contacted the property owner Mark Miller, who runs an art gallery at the location.

Not sure exactly how things work in New York, since the NYPD was saying it needed a property owner to charge Banksy with vandalism. The article does not say whether Miller is pressing charges or the NYPD. But Miller says that he plans on keeping Space Invader's art work. So if he is not pressing charges, who is?

This is not the first time Space Invader has been arrested. He has already been ticketed multiple times in Los Angeles as well.

NYPD Tries to Ticket Banksy

The NYPD cops are after Banksy, but they haven't caught him yet.

The cops might not have caught Banksy himself, but the NYPD did try to ticket Banksy's Ronald McDonald sculpture installation earlier today.

Once Upon a Time Street Art

Once Upon a Time street art gets up with a George Bush stencil made to look like a mugshot and dated 1/28/2003.

That was the date of the State of the Union address where George Bush declared war on Iraq.  As president, George Bush does not have the power to declare war on another country--that requires an act by Congress.  So perhaps this is trying to call out W as a criminal for his role in pushing America into war.

Who is John Scott?

John Scott is the oldest, one of the most prolific sticker fiends in the world. He is a man who has defined a lifetime and a made a career out of stickers.

John Scott places 'Who is John Scott' stickers all over Los Angeles. Some stickers have a picture of the man, and some even have the dudes Social Security number on them. Brazen.

He recently made news in Los Angeles for being the oldest man ever arrested for graffiti- 74 years old. But John Scott did not let a minor arrest stop him from getting up. He is still at it and has been for almost 40 years-his first arrest for this was in Honolulu in 1976.

Get up, Stay Up, Mr. Scott.
