Banksy's 'Caution' Found!

This was the hardest chase yet. We know Banksy Hunter Keith canvassed 3 cities. But the winner of this scavenger hunt is Enrique who found the exact location of the spot and sent us this picture.

We are not sure what this is called 'Caution Fun', 'Crossing the Border', or 'Home', but whatever it is, you can now see it in person.

The Banksy piece is located on Washington Blvd. and Flower St.

Thanks Enrique!

  1. The wall and background look nothing like the photo on Banksy's website... copycat or did he put up more than one, or is this pic fake???

  2. Great job

That's actually not the one pictured on Banksy's site. But it does seem to the one pictured in http://instagr.am/p/ByK1j/ as it has a crack running down the right side. So he may have been putting them all over town.

  3. this may indeed be a banksy - but this location is obviously not the same as the photo on banksy's site. just sayin'

  4. I don't think that's it. That has got to be a fake one. Completely different location from the picture on his website. Why didn't he get a closer picture? Something seems fishy...

  6. I think either Banksy did this same one in multiple locations, or a copycat painted this there... 'cos the location looks nothing like the one in the picture on Banksy's site. For one, there's no electrical box with a Spanish flyer posted on it adjacent to this wall. Furthermore, there should be a palm tree in the distance on the left, and there should be a Jack in the Box billboard visible as well. Anyone got any ideas?

  8. One of my friends sent me a picture of the piece up close and it looks very similar to the one on Banksy's website but... I have my small doubts.

Here is the link to the picture he sent me (http://www.flickr.com/photos/20326124@N05/5469364253/)

  10. This is very clearly not the same one pictured on the Banksy site. Where's the Remedio Legal ad on missing the power box next to the building? Where's the Jack In The Box billboard? Where is the street sign? Where is the sidewalk? This one is too far from the edge of the building, and the facade of the building itself is different.

  11. the paint isn't dripping like the one on banksy's site and no jack in the box... i think this is a possible copy

  12. Seems too good to be a copy. My guess is that Banksy did multiples of this stencil. I cannot imagine it takes him more than 5 minutes or so to do this one.

  13. ill go down there after my roommate gets out of class (probably closer to 1030)..get some shots..and well see what happens.

my guess is, like any other Graf artist, its a quickie..just to tag somewhere takes like a minute to do and they move on...its probably in a couple of places throughout LA.

  14. Damn, I walked right past this spot twice on my way to see Banksy's crayon house piece today. I would definitely have noticed it, this must be only a couple of hours old.

  18. i really am kinda hoping it is a fake because if it isn't, how many would there be out there? keith would be spending a whole lotta $$$ of gas looking for all of them

  19. as a close personal friend of banksy i want to let you know that this is in fact a real or fake version of "witty title here"

various versions of this scene can be witnessed in various homes, classrooms, restaurants, parks, office parks, skyscrapers and other notable spots where thousands of folks without papers keep this city strong.

shame that we pay way more attention to the writing that banksy puts on the wall about them than we do to their own pieces
