Mug Shots are Earned

"Mug shots are earned".  That's what friend of M&F's said recently after getting arrested for street art.

And here is a giant mugshot paster from Bamp getting up on Beverly.

Also riding with a high up tag from Bozoe, who has been smashing all over Los Angeles recently.

The Medium Must Match the Message

An awesome street art hot spot in Silverlake.  At the bottom of Bamp's giant mug shot is a tiny 8.5x11 piece of paper that says 'Don't you dare for one more second surround yourself with people who are not aware of the greatness that you are'.

Love the quote.  And another good one (paraphrased) says that 'We judge other people by their actions, but we estimate ourselves by our potential'.  No doubt.  Its true.  We judge others based on what we see, but we judge ourselves based on what we know we are capable of.

Think the tiny paster is from Leopoldo.  No doubt there is greatness, and we look forward to seeing more of it on the streets.  But the medium should match the message, and if it were presented differently, people will respond to it differently.  Anyway, dig the concept and stay up!

Joined by street art from Bamp, Sonay, Bandit, Fame, Phylo TSF, and more, like the half covered BleepBloop still says.

Little Havana and Little Los Angeles in Miami

Shiiiiit, Miami already has its 'Little Havana'.  But there is so much LA flavor in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami, that maybe the area should just be renamed 'Little Los Angeles'.

Like this here.  With Snyder and Bamp holding this corner in Wynwood down for Los Angeles artists.

Dig it.  Stay up--in LA and Miami!~

Benjamin Alejandro - Untitled

Benjamin Alejandro, or BAMP, has a solo exhibition entitled 'Untitled' coming up at Hot Rod.

The show opens May 4th from 6-9 PM.  Full details can be found on the flyer.

Slice of LA in Miami

Here is a wall that might could be found in Los Angeles since it features two LA based artists, Shepard Fairey and Bamp.

But this wall is not in LA.  This is in Miami, and another example of how the street artists from LA dominate the streets of Miami.

Dig it.  Stay up!~
