Street Name Battle

At multiple spots on Hollywood Blvd, Smeer is capping over Smear.  Assumably, its for having a similar name.

Smear is one of the oldest school artists still active on the streets of LA.  Meanwhile, believe Smeer is a Bay Area based writer, but the dude still rolls through and smashes LA hard.

Not really a name battle, since both artists are entrenched in their identities.  Don't think anyone's going to be changing names.  More like some jostling over stepping on toes.

Regardless of the beef, it seems that having a name like that sounds like 'smear', then you probably get up like a motherfucker.

Same Names, Its Obvious

Some barbed wire was added to this spot behind Melrose, and some straight boards and obstacles were thrown in front to keep unwanted visitors out.  Still, the biggest names in LA are fighting the way to the gate and getting up.

Hits from Jaber, Hntr, Smear, 455er, Bankrupt Slut, Shie 47, Bozoe, Gusty Windz and a tag from Obvious.

Three big heads from RTH who have been getting up in LA for a long time get up with some fresh work all over the city.

Most artists are either/or, but Smear, Kiosk and Branded are also some of the only heads, and the original heads doing both graffiti and street art.

This wall behind Melrose sits orange most of the time, but whenever the street art action pics up around town, this spot starts to fill up.

M&F posted this spot a few days ago, and since then it has been joined by even more pieces.  Getting up from Bankrupt Slut, Smear, Em 65, Gos, Dirty Model and more.

Its getting hot around here again . . . Stay Up!~

Faces

New faces get pasted up from Smear and Dirty Model.  And a pink face gets painted over the face of Taylor Swift on Bankrupt Slut's 'Lucky One' poster.  Once again, the pink face probably wasn't meant so much as a cap as a 'let's put a new face on this'.  But, once again, if the original artist wanted a different face, they probably would have put that on there in the first place.
