Art or Ad?

'Bubblehead' goes big on this old building in Hollywood.

Can't tell if this is an ad? or art?

It appears to be wheatpaste on top of glass, which would make it seem illegal (most buildings use a plastic covering for these big type murals. On the other hand, it is so massive, and clearly a crane must have been used, so something this size would be hard to accomplish to say the least.

The writing up top says 'Bubblehead'. We are so wrapped up in our little street art bubble that we have not heard of Bubblehead or what it might mean?

  1. Even if its an ad, at least its visually pleasing. Can't say the same about all the Nocturnal posters and such littering signs, walls and freeways all over Southern California. If advertisers are going to whore out street art for their own business, at least doing it in a creative way gives it a little justification. After all, we are all tired of the same T-Mobile billboards, but if those were replaced by actual art (still selling a product) I'd be a much happier camper, commuter and resident.
