A short time ago, Banksy's Bulldog piece in Beverly Hills got hit up with some graffiti next to it (
can be seen HERE).
Concerned that the graffiti would lead to a full buff of the wall, the PSA crew removed the graffiti next to the wall. M&F has been told that PSA intends to bring an international restoration specialist to work on restoring the paint from Banksy's piece that got removed with the graffiti.
***Thanks to John Wellington Ennis for the pic***
cool.
ReplyDeletelame. Buff one vandal or artist, buff them all. I like Banksy and all but is there any sense in this? A dog pissing is better than graffiti? Why? Because he is a celebrity?
ReplyDeleteYep. Pretty much.
DeleteAnother wall just got entirely buffed except they left the invader.
W/ being famous comes money and notoriety. So it stays. Plus, it was banksy! And the other guys did graffiti. 99% of normal people don't like graffiti or pay attention to it.
maybe im not deep enough to understand what a dog pissing on the wall means. like society is in the toilet or somethin'. i dont know, but at least those shitty graff letters said clean your chakras. so they buffed the conscious message and are restoring the crappy dag pissing. its a sign that our society is far too into idol worship. and will kill off a strong spiritual message for someone who has money and notoriety. its like let the crappy pop message with no nutrition stay but kill the strength. it takes alot of heart to do graff. the process takes time. i find this whole restoration absurd, but whatever floats your boat i guess. that same restoration crew should head down to south central and east los and down town and restore some of that old graff as well. restore some that old miker, bucket, slow and sight graff. street art and graff both have their uses and its not one better than the other. but fuck show some love for graff.
ReplyDeleteHell yea! Restore the art of Ohjae, Erie, and Sk8!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, graffiti is dope... But what was added was just nonsense... And I get why people want to play the street art/graffiti game on this one, but you have to wake up at some point and realize that "street art" is something that a lot of people want to see. Whether it's Banksy or anyone else for that matter.... And yes, it's a catch 22, but if a building owner is proud of something on their wall, respect him/her for wanting what's there. It's their wall, and whether or not permission was granted or not, if they like it in the end is all that really matters. That's what decides if it stays or goes.
ReplyDeletePATH. Rising to a station above the mind and opening out of the cosmic consciousness; psychic opening; descent of a higher consciousness with its peace, light, force, knowledge, ananda etc. into all the planes of the being down to the most physical. All this has to be done by the working of the mother's force aided by your aspiration, devotion and surrender.
