Sportie LA Wants In On the Action

M&F generally refers to the active street art parking lot on Melrose as the Barracuda lot, because of the large art mural out front.  But the store on the other side of the parking lot, and the one who actually owns the parking lot itself is Sportie LA.

Well, it seems that Sportie LA had enough of artists putting unsanctioned pasters in their parking lot. If you can't beat em, join em,  Sportie LA has begun a new poster campaign.   These sneaker themed posters popping up around Melrose, on spots not part of Sportie LA's property.

The posters say, 'We were sneakers when this was twitter'.  Some people have said that twitter is the new graffiti, but we feel if you think so, you haven't tried real graffiti.

Anyhoo, we dig that Sportie LA tries to give a nod to the community while they poster, and also that they are sneaker themed, and if any business should start a public art campaign it makes sense its them.  That said, it is still advertising on the streets.  what do people think about Sportie LA's new campaign?
