Some Suspect Motherfuckers Trying to Make a Career Off Banksy
^So this is Lastsuspect. This is the dude who took the original flower from Banksy's Twin Tower's tribute, and now this douche is trying to hustle some stolen stuffed animals from Banksy's Sirens of the Lambs truck.
There are haters of Banksy's work, and there are opportunists, and this dude seems to exemplify both. This dude is pillaging Banksy at the same time he talks shit on him. The LastSuspect says things like 'This is what Banksy would have wanted', when no, Banksy might be amused with this level of douchebaggery, but this is not what is supposed to happen.
Not only did the LastSuspect steal multiple pieces from Banksy's locations, but the dude also talks mad shit on Banksy and Banksy fans. After folks talked shit to him after stealing the flower, the LastSuspect said he was going to ruin the piece.
Total tool. This dude might be the LastSuspect, but he is the first suspect people think of when folks picture the scumbag motherfuckers who are trying to make a career off Banksy. And ruining the fun for everyone else.

Banksy Is a Good Guy - Taking Care of the Homeless Guy with The Giant Elephant
In 2011, Banksy painted on this water tanker with a stencil saying 'This Looks a Bit Like an Elephant'. Once the water tanker got transformed into art, some money minded art investors immediately bought and removed it. The thing was, this water tanker served as a makeshift home to a otherwise homeless man, Tachowa Covington. Even though it was makeshift, Tachowa had turned the water tanker into a real home, complete with electricity, television, security cameras and an actual address to receive postal mail delivery. However, once it became art, what was worthless became valuable, and the removal of the Elephant Water Tanker by the investors left Tachowa homeless, again.
M&F was one of the first news outlets to break the story that Banksy's art had made a man homeless, and we have been tapped into all the the subsequent action since. You can check out many articles following how it was confirmed that Banksy's painting did lead to Tachowa losing his water tanker home, when the Elephant Tanker got moved, and many more up close pictorial features. It is especially interesting to compare the pimped out photos from the inside of the tanker during its prime (pictured below), because it looked nothing like that at the time that Banksy painted it.
Well, the Daily Mail is reporting that once Banksy was made aware of Tachowa's situation, that before Tachowa even had to spend a day on the streets, Banksy stepped in and gave Tachowa enough money to support himself for an entire year!
At the time Tachowa lost his home, M&F had wondered out loud how Banksy generally uses his art to help and empower the common people, yet his art causing Tachowa's eviction seemed to do the exact opposite of that? But the good guys do not announce every good deed with a press release. It took years to suss out what really happened, but it is reassuring to hear that this story does have a happy ending. Banksy reaffirms time and again, that he has power, and the ability to make money off prints like a mint, but that he uses his power and influence wisely and quietly to help those in need. Banksy might be a criminal. He is definitely a vandal. But bottom line, Banksy is a good guy.
Tachowa is definitely a big fan of Banksy and he says "There ain't no better man than Banksy. He was an angel to me. He helped me more than anyone has helped me in my life."
Dig it~
As for the Elephant Tanker itself, there is no word where it is currently located, or whether or not it ever re-sold. As M&F pointed out at the time, this Tanker is such a tremendously huge piece, that it would be difficult and awkward to display, even if someone wanted to. Anyone have any word about where the Elephant Tanker ended up?

Banksy Unauthenticated Street Piece Sells for $1.1 Million - The Establishment Takes Over
The LA Times is reporting that Banksy's 'Slave Labour' street art piece just sold at auction for $1.1 million dollars.
This Slave Labour piece has never been authenticated by Banksy's Pest Control team. What is strange about this situation in particular is that the FBI and the Scotland Yard got involved in this case. The FBI even released statements saying that "there is no evidence of criminality in the removal of this illegally painted" artwork.
Previous Banksy street pieces have failed to bring in high prices at auction because of the failure to be authenticated after being removed from the original locations. It seems this whole thing might be an attempt to skirt Pest Control and authenticate Banksy's art through FBI statements.
Some have suggested that the FBI became involved because it had been rumored online that Slave Labour had been 'stolen' from the walls, but the sellers of Slave Labour listed at auction are the owners of the building itself where the art was first painted. That single ownership of the chunk of wall seems like a simple fact to ascertain, therefore the rumors of the piece being stolen do not seem to warrant an investigation by the Scotland Yard and FBI. However, since Pest Control refuses to authenticate street pieces, it seems like the statements issued by the FBI are an attempt by the establishment to circumvent Pest Control and validate Banksy's Slave Labour piece. After all, even if Pest Control will not say the piece is legitimate, the biggest law enforcement agencies in Great Britain and American are issuing a tacit endorsement of the piece.
The establishment has now officially taken over the street art world. Or at least endorsed it.
Of course, to throw one more piece of the puzzle into the bucket, it has long been established that Banksy is very particular about where he places street piece, and Banksy has put up art on buildings and structures owned by people with whom he has a previous relationship. So maybe this was the way it was supposed to all happen?
