LOUDLABS Goes Giant on La Brea
LOUDLABS goes giant with a humongous new 30+ foot tile installation.
Even though this looks like a commission piece, it was not. This is actually an illegal piece, but it looks so nice, it fits like it was meant to be.
On La Brea.
Stay up!

Eduardo Kobra Mural on La Brea - Close Up!
Here is a closer look at Eduardo Kobra's Einstien mural on La Brea.
Incredible work with a spray can. Sometimes, a closer look can reveal secrets and tips to how it all came together, but with this mural, everything is too blended and rendered to see specific strokes. Still, each little frame is beautiful in its own way.

Kobra - First Bite's So Nice, Had to Try It Twice!
If Eduardo Kobra lived up to his last name, it might be worth it to get bit by his venom. Twice.
M&F already posted initial pics of Kobra's mural on La Brea. But the artwork is so spectacular, that it deserves a return feature with a deeper view.
Seriously incredible talent displayed here on many levels.
It is interesting to note that this actual mural was painted on the building itself. There were actually plywood pieces attached to the wall, and this mural was painted on top of those. So, theoretically, this mural could be removed from the wall. What's underneath? Kobra's previous mural, featuring a colorfully stylized Mt. Rushmore, is still riding underneath this one.

KMNDZ - Dead Robot No. 7
KMNDZ paints a beautiful dead robot on La Brea.
Lying in a reclined position with grasses and plants sprouting out from in and around it, and a hummingbird hovering up above.
Dig the skillful rendering on the eyes and joints making this piece almost look realistic. And dig the drips.

Nunca Doesn't Like Photographers
Brazilian street artist Nunca just visited Los Angeles and nailed out a brand new gigantic mural on La Brea.
The entire panel features human heads with hands holding up cameras. Every single head has a camera in front of it. Apparently, Nunca seems to share Bankrupt Slut's sentiments towards street art photographers.
Or perhaps Nunca is making commentary on the modern state of the world where every person is a photog? Or possibly yet still calling out the US surveillance state? Click the jump to check out the art and see for your self!
As always, dig the influx of Brazilian art in Los Angeles.

Murdock Street Art
A full color, multi-layer stencil from new street artist Murdock.
Featuring a boy sitting ona gallon of paint wearing blue jeans and a hoody. Each piece is not just one layer, but multiple layers, giving it the filled in look.
Impressive piece. Found sitting on the old Mr. Brainwash building on La Brea.

Mr. Brainwash's Art Show 2011 Building Opened Back Up!
The building on La Brea which hosted Mr. Brainwash's Art Show 2011 has been undergoing steady construction ever since the show ended.
While some things have changed, much of the art still remains, especially the ceiling and pillar placements.
The building is not open yet. It is still heavily under construction (and construction workers don't like their picture taken). However, the moving of the giant construction panel boards around the building allowed M&F to grab some exclusive shots from inside. Its fascinating to see a building like this where the inside has been smashed, but is not completely abandoned.

Holy Cow! Have You Seen the Construction on La Brea!?
Anyone who has driven La Brea over the past year can't help but notice all the new construction. La Brea is a crane city with construction all the way from Sunset to Pico.
Its kind of crazy, and if you thought traffic can get bad on La Brea already, imagine how it is going to be with 30,000 new residents residing in condo complexes like this.
This eye poppin' custom postal sticker seems to be staring with the same amazed disbelief everybody must be feeling.
Its kind of like Hollywood lost some of its unique feel, selling out its character for a new CVS market.

Obey Gets Up
Obey claims a prime spot atop La Brea.
Interesting story, the owner of this building will buff other pieces but likes to keep the Obey riding.
