Love Me--De La Barracuda

The De La Barracuda wall is arguably one of LA's most active and entertaining canvases.

Although it now hosts a Shepard Fairey installation and Rebel 8 and Shark Toof posters, discovered these pictures going over some old files and had to post it.

Really love this pic. The Love Me is juicy. The Skullphone pastes up top are peeling beautifully. And the Insa piece to the side is one of our favorite walls on Melrose.

Street Art Personalized-Pt. 2/3

T.wat gets decorated outside The Roger Room.

Looks like real lipstick.

Where's Steven, indeed.

Street Art Personalized-Pt. 1/3

T.wat and Homo Riot got some additions to their pieces on La Cienega.

This particular box is situated right outside the trendy hot spot for celebrity sighting, The Roger Room.

The Roger Room does not have a smoking area, so patrons have to step out front to smoke--right next to the art on the box, and it seems that some took it upon themselves to doodle and decorate the pieces with some humorous additions.

Chebama by Free Humanity

Absolutely love this piece--Chebama by Free Humanity.

It captures the hope that America had coming out of the Bush years and partners it with the revolutionary attitude that is Che.

While MelroseandFairfax wishes that Obama had shown more revolutionary flair during his presidency so far, out of all the Obama images that have been released since his campaign, this is hands down our favorite one.

Alec + Free Humanity--Big in Beverly Hills

Just up the street from the Beverly Center, Alec and Free Humanity go big.

Great spot. Really compliments LA's lush urban landscape.

And MelroseandFairfax prides itself in taking all of the pictures posted on the blog, but it makes an exception in this last shot. Such a great action shot. Photo taken by Jimmy Hickey http://www.jimmyhickey.net

Straight to Hell

FairfaxandMelrose is far from religious, but wonders if there is a special place in hell for crossing out the Virgin Mary?

Hatin on Free Humanity, but interesting how the type of paint and color almost compliments the piece.

Alec Street Art

Alec introduces a new character in a big way on Melrose.

Great juxtaposition next to the KH. no. 7 sparkplug wheatpaste.
