GoneMOCA just got up all over LA with an installation of 100 hand painted cubes.

These are highly collectible and most get taken soon after being discovered. Placed from Malibu to Melrose, keep your eyes peeled for Gone's boxes, before they are gone.~

This is one of the most impressive pieces we have seen in a minute, anywhere.

Absolutely dig this gorgeous, and random, hand painted life size wheat paste.

It wasn't spotted in LA, but in Carlsbad, which, largely thanks to the single handed efforts of Snyder, seems to hold down a solid street art scene of its own.

Snyder - Building Community Through Perfect Placement

Even when it doesn't seem he is trying to, Snyder is even building community in Carlsbad based on his perfect placement alone.

Like this here.  Snyder placed his Dunce character at the perfect spot in a corner, in the heart of Carlsbad Village.  Snyder's piece was not commissioned, but the property owners seem to enjoy it, and Dunce has been riding for months on end.

After Snyder's piece had ridden for so long, apparently another artist noticed it and got motivated to go and place a complimentary, and impressive, large hand painted piece next to Snyder's.

It seems that after so many years building community through street art, Snyder is building community based on the sheer placement of his street art.

The Sketchiest Fan in the World

Snyder's method of painting requires many, many layers of dripped paint to form the image.

And, as anyone who has ever painted knows, it is slow work waiting for paint to dry.

Well, Snyder has ghetto-rigged an impressive method by which is hung what Snyder describes as 'the sketchiest fan in the world'.

The fan lives up to its name and has missing chunks from the fan hitting things while spinning.  Thankfully, Snyder says it has only caught his fingers a couple of times.

Snyder's Drip Paint Projects

Over time, the most active street art walls will build up with so much paint that the layers can be measured in inches.  Well, Snyder has his own version of this going on in his studio.

Snyder's signature drip technique is a paint heavy process, and this is clearly evident as Snyder hold's up paint brushes the size of broom handles, pennies dripped half as big as a fist, and magnets covered with the beautiful mess--not to mention the mountains of build up on the table itself.

And, very cool to see how Snyder has developed his own signature style.  Indeed, he is known around Carlsbad by those who don't know his name as 'that drip artist'.  Dig it~

Teacher dedicates a street piece to wishing LA a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hung at the top of Laurel Canyon, Teacher's custom wood made and hand painted four leaf clover joins his Malala stencil which has been riding on the box for months on end.

Cool to see how the Malala box has been decorated with a dream catcher.

Amerika the Beautiful

Gigantic new mural from Colur entitled 'Amerika the Beautiful'.

It features Obama and Mitt Romney, each holding a gun to the head of a crying girl in a Disney Mouseketeers cap with the word 'Amerika'. This is entirely hand painted and HUGE!  It measures a full 12x18 feet, and this is the biggest unsanctioned hand painted piece that has hit the streets of LA in awhile.

Herakut Street Art in Los Angeles - Could You Share It With Your Brothers?

We have seen pictures of this piece of street art by Herakut in downtown Los Angeles, but since it was in a little corner of skid row that we rarely visit, we hadn't snapped pics of it yet.

It was even more impressive in person. We always thought that the mouth was a wheat paste, but it is not. The mouth is hand painted, which really blew our mind!
