Plastic Jesus hit Melrose with this improvised stop sign saying 'Never Stop Dreaming'.

Then, the stop sign got completely tagged over by someone who didn't share the dream saying 'Fuck That'. In addition to an onslaught of supportive stickers.

Well, the dream never dies. Never stop dreaming, because the sign is back. Not sure if it was the buffman who buffed the tags and stickers off, but the sign is back and the dream is alive. Never stop dreaming!

Plastic Jesus - Why Can't a Wall Just Be a Wall?

The 'Advertise Here' stencil was already there.  Then Plastic Jesus came along with another stencil that seems to taunt the wall.  It asks, 'Why can't a wall just be a wall?'.

Indeed.  Why can't a wall just be a wall?  (With street art on it?)

Plastic Jesus Gets Rolled

Plastic Jesus just gets up down low with a giant roller in the middle of a Los Angeles neighborhood street.

This huge piece continues on PJ's ongoing theme 'Stop Making Stupid People Famous'.

This round consists of stop sing interruptions.  Plastic Jesus was also careful where he placed these, and he says one may or may not have been placed right out front of Simon Crowell's home.

Just stop it.  And stay up!

Not Everyone's an Optimist

A short while ago, Plastic Jesus hung up this re-appropriated Stop sign, modifying it so that is says 'Never Stop Dreaming'.

Well, it seems not everyone is an optimist.  After it went up, some graffiti writer came by and tagged 'Fuck That' over it.

Banksy's latest piece might seem familiar.  At least to followers of M&F.  As many will recall, Plastic Jesus did a series of very similar 'Graffiti is a Crime' pieces earlier this year in March.

Still Hazardous

Plastic Jesus' Toxic Hazard installation didn't last long on Melrose--it was gone within a day.

Plastic Jesus - Never Stop Dreaming

Plastic Jesus - Buyer Bombing

Plastic Jesus just instigated some 'product bombing' around Los Angeles.  The interruptions centered around the placement of 'Useless Plastic Boxes' around Best Buy locations in LA.  The installations come complete with custom made placards designed to perfectly imitate the real thing.

Plastic Jesus says that these pieces were motivated by deeper concerns about consumerism.  Plastic Jesus says that:  We are sold these gadgets in a way that makes us think that THIS new gadget is THE one. The piece of kit that will transform our lives. How often do we pay out hundreds or thousands of dollars and in-fact the product will not do much of what it is claimed. The frustration these things actually create in out lives is far greater than any possible benefits. It's only once you've purchased the item and you try to set it up and use it, often faced with long phone calls to overseas call centres, speaking to 'help desk' staff who read from scripts and leave us more frustrated.

We all need to make a strong statement to gadget manufacturers and demand products that work and customer support that actually support the customer and not the profit of the companies...

Dig it.  Useless product bombing.  Wonder if any of these sold?

All You Need is the Right Kind of Love

After a sidewalk stencil from Plastic Jesus got tagged over by another red stencil saying Banksy = $$$$, Plastic Jesus got some help from a friend, Teacher.

Instead of directly capping it back, Teacher came along and got up on the sidewalk next to it with a blue stencil that says 'All you need is the right kind of love'.

That mantra is something that Teacher believes in deeply and applies to his own life.  Indeed, it is the same words from the tattoo going up Teacher's arm.

Dig it.  Keep teachin' the right kind of love!

Trayvon Martin Street Art - Bloody Skittles

Plastic Jesus gets up a new piece themed on the Trayvon Martin murder trial with a bag of Skittles bleeding out on the streets.

Plastic Jesus has this to say about his piece:

Like many people I'm bemused by the George Zimmerman not guilty verdict.

As a journalist I followed the case and one thing immediately struck me, and that was how the most minute detail of the case was seized upon by both the defence and prosecution to try to portray each party in a simplistic, stereotypical way.

Trayvon was buying candy and only 17 and therefore was a child,

Zimmerman had trained at MMA and therefore the prosecution tried to  use this to prove he was a trained 'killer'

Obviously both assumptions are ridiculous, but sadly what is right and wrong is not what matters. What matters is what you can persuade the jury to believe.

True.  The earlier posted ongoing protests demonstrate that most of America cannot believe what the Trayvon Martin muray was persuaded to believe.

Nothing is Greater or Less Than Jesus Humping

The NSA - Street Camera Spying Edition

Teacher and Plastic Jesus just collaborated on an amazing new street art installation aimed at the NSA's recent spying scandals.   This piece features HUGE NSA cameras aimed at the people walking on the sidewalk.  and a big arrow saying 'You Are Here'.

Dig this piece on many levels.  Great message and impressive execution.
