Get Jesus Off The Streets

Go sticker your fucking church. Get Jesus off the streets.

One of the lamest stickers we see around are from some Jesus freaks who put up 'Jesus' stickers.

And its clear that Jesus has no respect for the streets. He is capping stuff left and right. On the flip side, there's nothing we love seeing more than these Jesus stickers being capped in return.

These stickers are a bad joke. The main dude putting up these stickers is a 60 year old dude with gray hair. Go preach from your rocking chair, gramps, and get the fuck off the streets!

As if there aren't enough Christian zealots telling the world how to live. Fuck Jesus. Keep it in church. The last place we want to see it is on the streets.

  1. I was buying silkscreens the other day and had my head down. An elderly woman came over to me, and kindly touched me on the shoulder, I looked up and she saw my forearm which has a pentagram and some other occultist symbolism on it. She said she thought I was praying...and then hissed at me.

    I'm a fan of contradiction.

I'm also a fan of street art...and again...these stickers are just layers to the canvas man.

They incite emotion in you...so they are doing their job. They are catalysts to conversation. You'll probably see some pieces in response to this. I'm all for Jesus busting pieces in the street, though he'll eventually get buff'd or written over. It's just the nature of things...heh

  2. Agree with the comment above. Just cause you don't want to see imagery or thoughts of Jesus doesn't mean it should be kept off the streets. People in this world don't want to see a BANKSY or a JR or any number of other things you post here, but you love em.

just happens to be another part of the conversation, like my man above said. just cause you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's inherently wrong or mean. just something else. look past that piece and check out the art around the corner from it, or across the street from it. it's everywhere

  4. Not a fan of Jesus, but I don't see why he shouldn't be on the streets. Expression comes in many forms and shouldn't be suppressed because a select few do not approve of it. I don't understand the difference between a 60yr old man posting stickers of Jesus and someone like me who post up pics of Picasso, Marvin Gaye and Mandela. Same difference right? Or am I tripping? Inspiration leads to expression.

  5. i agree with you all. looks like some has some hidden Jesus issues though. This sticker is art just the same as all the rest. jesus wants us to tell the world about him! if we "keep it church".. would you just want art to be "kept in a museum"? nope. we should respect all forms of art... where ever they may be. sometimes we dont agree with the message but such is life. xoxo

  6. I think street art pieces solely based on celebrity imagery are a complete joke. At least the Jesus guy is putting a message out there, unlike so much of the other street art I see. Jesus is not my homeboy but neither is Madona or Andy Warhol or fashion designers and their propaganda. Opinions are like assholes... Make some Satan stickers.

  7. "If you believe in freedom of speech, you believe in freedom of speech for views you don't like. Goebbels was in favor of freedom of speech for views he liked. So was Stalin. If you're in favor of freedom of speech, that means you're in favor of freedom of speech precisely for views you despise."

  8. the fact is that these "jesus" stickers are dissing people, put them up but don't diss writers/artists. these fuckers just want attention, real graffiti writers usually don't.
